How does the free trial work?
Your first month is completely free—no credit card required. You'll have full access to everything.
At the end, you can continue with a paid plan or export your data.
What exactly is a "learner"?
Any child whose learning you're documenting. Families pay per child. Programs pay per enrolled learner.
If a child is in your Prism, they count as a learner. Straightforward.
What if my child's program already uses Prism?
You don't pay anything extra. When you claim guardianship, you get full access to your child's portfolio—the
program's subscription covers it. If your child later leaves the program, you can continue with a Family plan
or export everything.
Who owns the portfolio data?
The learner and their family. Always. Programs pay for their educators to contribute to and view portfolios,
but the data belongs to the family. When a learner leaves a program, every entry—including those created
by educators—goes with them.
What happens if a family leaves our program?
They take everything. Every portfolio entry, every learning signal, every report. The portfolio belongs
to the learner, not the program. You stop being billed for that learner, and they keep their complete history.
We recommend exporting a Portfolio for a Learner before you remove them from your Pod so you can use that
export for any future records requests from other schools or programs. We have an "Archive Learner"
feature on our roadmap that will allow you to archive a Learner when you remove them from your Pod, making
it easier to access all the content created for that Learner by Educators in your Pod, even after they are
no longer in your Pod.
Can programs start without parents signing up first?
Yes. Programs can add learners and start documenting immediately. Parents claim guardianship whenever
they're ready—there's no setup required on their end to get started. When they connect, they'll see
everything their child's educators have contributed.
If our program pays, do we own the data?
No. You're paying for access and tooling—the ability for your team to document, view patterns, and
generate reports. The portfolio itself belongs to the learner's family. We built it this way on purpose.
You will be able to keep data that Educators in your Pod created, even after a child leaves, but the full
portfolio follows the Learner.
What if we need to cancel?
Cancel anytime from your account settings. Your data stays yours—export it anytime.
Canceling your subscription(s) means not being able to create new entries or resources.
Is our data private and secure?
We encrypt everything and never sell your data. We take this seriously—we use Prism too.
When you opt in to image analysis for richer learning signals, images are processed by Anthropic's AI
with industry-standard security. No names or personal information are ever sent—only database IDs.
Images are automatically deleted from Anthropic's systems after 30 days. Learning signals stay in your account.

What if our situation changes?
Families can grant a program access to their learner's portfolio anytime—and revoke it anytime.
If a program is covering your child and you leave, you can seamlessly continue with a Family subscription.
The portfolio stays with the learner no matter who's paying.
Can we export our data?
Yes. Full export anytime—your portfolio entries, learning signals, and reports.
It's your data. We make it easy to take it with you.
What if we have more than 100 learners?
We'd love to talk. Larger programs often have specific needs, and we offer custom pricing and onboarding.
